Handling

Before use:

Working conditions

Only apply at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C.

Surface requirements

The surface must be dry, clean and free of dust, rust and grease. Remove any existing sealant residue.

Preliminary surface treatment

Degrease metals with degreaser. Slightly moisten porous surfaces.

Tools

Sealant smoother, Putty knife

Coverage

1 cartridge for 10 m of joint, joint 6 x 6 mm.

During use:

Handling of packaging

Cut off screw thread, assemble nozzle and cut at an angle to the desired joint width.

Directions for use

Inject the sealant evenly into the joint and tool with a wet putty knife. Remove excess sealant immediately with water. IMPORTANT: Allow to dry for at least 24 hours (cover from rain showers in outside use). Then heat gently (gradually increase the temperature) until the sealant has fully cured. When applied, the sealant is black, after it has been heated the color becomes lighter (depending on the temperature). Properly close the cartridge immediately after use.

Advice

Usage in electrical equipment can be hazardous with regard to the conductivity of the product.

Points of attention

Exposure to heat before the sealant is completely cured may result in the forming of tears or bubbles and even to crack and fragment the sealant. After some time, a liquid film in the cartridge can form, but this has no effect on the quality of the sealant. Do not use in permanently wet areas.

After use:

Stains/residue

Remove wet stains immediately with water. Cured sealant residue can only be removed mechanically.

Storage conditions

Store in properly sealed packaging in a dry place at between +5°C and +25°C.
