THE GRIFFON SMART BOTTLE: INNOVATIVE SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING FOR PVC CEMENTS
October 2025 — Griffon, the specialist in connection techniques for plastic piping systems, has upgraded its smart bottle by switching to recycled materials.
In a step toward environmental responsibility, Griffon (one of the brands of Bolton) is proud to announce the next evolution of its packaging for PVC cements: the white bottle now consists of 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, and the grey bottle 72.5% . This upgrade not only strengthens the brand’s commitment to sustainability but also aligns with the growing consumer demand for smarter, greener choices.
An improved Smart Bottle and Artwork
Only a few months after the introduction of Griffons’ Smart Bottle, the Smart Bottle enters a new era. The transition to PCR material significantly reduces virgin plastic use and reinforces Griffon’s commitment to circularity and climate-conscious production. The change is complemented by an additional icon on the front of the bottle.
A Win for the Environment, Customers, and the Brand Vision
This milestone represents a leap forward in Griffon's environmental goals and contributes to a smaller ecological footprint and less waste. It also enables customers to make more sustainable choices without compromising on quality or experience.
Roll-out starting now
The new PCR-based bottles will begin entering the market incrementally in the second half of 2025, with full integration across the PVC Cement assortment by Q2 2026. This approach ensures a smooth transition for both retailers and consumers, while product quality remains guaranteed throughout the entire process.
