Application
For brazing copper and its alloys in almost all applications, such as (drinking) water, gas and central heating pipes, hot water and cooling systems.
Handling
Before use
Soldering burner, Flux-6, scouring fibre, heat-shield, brush, cloth
During use
1. Sand joining surfaces well and clean (bare metal) with Griffon scouring fibre. 2. Mix Flux-6 with water to create a homogeneous paste. 3. Apply flux evenly with brush to both joining surfaces. Avoid overuse of the flux. For copper to copper do not use any flux. For copper to copper alloys or between copper alloys, please use flux. 4. Assemble joint. Use only well-fitting parts. Avoid overheating the flux, as this will hamper the flow of the solder. 5. Heat joint evenly and add solder. Allow the solder to melt onto the soldered seam and not in the flame or on the iron. Completely fill soldered seam. 6. Allow joint to cool in air. 7. Remove flux residue with water or a damp cloth.
Use Griffon Heat-Shield to protect walls, tiles, wallpaper, paint and plasterwork, for example.
After use
Immediately remove stains with water or a damp cloth.
