A clear solution for waterproof bonding without polyurethane

Griffon introduces a new, extremely strong wood construction adhesive based on SMP-Polymer technology: Wood Max Transparent Power. This new generation of wood construction adhesive is PU and solvent free and features a unique combination of transparency, strength, flexibility and ease of use.

Wood Max Transparent Power can be used in many applications (in terms of materials: to combine wood with wood or other building materials, but also in terms of indoor and outdoor use) It is non-foaming, filling, paintable and excess glue can be scraped away immediately. No clamping is required.

Wood Max Transparent Power reaches its final strength after 24 hours (110 kg per cm²), a joint is hand tight (10 kg/cm²) after 3 hours. Wood Max Transparent Power is not only very strong, but the adhesive also retains its flexibility after curing. Thanks to its high flexibility combined with its strength, Wood Max Transparent Power can withstand the pressure exerted on joints by the action of the wood. Wood Max Transparent Power can absorb movement for extended periods of time without affecting the joint.

Wood Max Transparent Power has an excellent filling capacity (up to 2 mm) and excess glue can be scraped away immediately. It ensures a 100% water-resistant bonding according to the D4 standard.

Wood Max Transparent Power is the transparent, flexible extension to the well-known Wood Max Power and Wood Max Express Power. The Wood Max range offers environmentally, user friendly wood construction adhesives with a very high final bond strength of up to 110 kg per cm². With the arrival of the Wood Max range, stubborn black hand stains are also a thing of the past. Wood Max is both solvent and polyurethane (PU) free.

Widely applicable
Wood Max is suitable for waterproof (D4) (flat) bonding of almost all types of (un)planed wood. Wood Max is also suitable for bonding many other building materials such as plaster, (natural) stone, (aerate) concrete, metal, rigid foam and various plastics. Due to its thixotropic consistency, the adhesive can be applied both horizontally and vertically. Wood Max is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, can be sanded and painted.
