Griffon introduces new polymer coating: SMP-300®
Premium performance waterproof and airtight coating based on the innovative SMP-technology.
No more waiting for the perfect weather conditions to waterproof and air tightening dome windows, roof terminals, sealing roof tops or any other outdoor sealing and coating job. With SMP-300®, Griffon presents a solution that helps professional constructors, applicators and handymen getting the job done in time, despite any weather condition.
Thanks to the innovative SMP-technology the SMP-300® coating can be applied on moist surfaces, ideal for application during uncertain weather conditions. Furthermore SMP-300® coating has superior adhesion on all surfaces, is self-levelling, does not shrink and is weather & UV-resistant. The coating can easily be applied, is paintable and overplasterable. Making it also perfect for indoor airtight constructions.
Elastic, airtight and waterproof
The premium performance waterproof and airtight elastic coating is based on innovative SMP-technology and perfectly suitable for sealing floors, walls, seems, joints and all other types of surfaces, penetrations and connections of building components and construction elements. The new SMP-300® coating is free of bitumen, isocyanates and solvents.
Tested and certified
The Griffon SMP-300® assortment stands for premium performance sealing and protecting of almost all surfaces. SMP-300® coating has been tested in accordance with European standards EN 1026, EN 1027 and EN 12114, EN 1504-2 for water- and air tightness. In addition, the sealing and protective coating has been awarded with the Emission premium class EMICODE® EC-1 Plus.

With the new SMP-300® Polymer coating, Griffon now offers a complete assortment, available in grey (RAL 7040) and white color (RAL9010), for waterproof and airtight building, consisting of:
